Hair trends 2025

Hair trends come and go, some fade quickly and some stay to become classics. We've scanned the internet and summarized what we think we'll see more of, and what's going away, in 2025.

Right now everyone is talking about the Boho fashion making a big comeback and it will also affect hair. We will combine old and new, but above all, the natural and personal will take center stage this year.

2024 was undeniably the year of the bob and we will see a lot of it this year as well, but in 2025, people will let their hair grow out a bit. We want to be able to care for and vary their hair in a way that is easier with medium-length hair than with short or long hair, which is why the length will stop at the collarbone in 2025. Then you can use heat tools with a clear conscience without the hair taking too much damage, but you can also put your hair up in simple hairstyles. Styling medium-length hair is simply less time-consuming than long hair. We will also see more solid-colored hair for the same reason. Hair colored with several shades requires more maintenance.

Pile
The bangs are definitely back – with a twist! The Birkin bangs  from the 70s is heavy and soft and gives an elegant but relaxed expression. The long bangs don't have to be perfect – or be particularly full, and words like skinny fringe will appear. What seems to be on the way out are short bangs and curtain bangs. No bangs or long bangs are what matters if you want to live up to the trend.

Length
The bob will stay for a while longer, but the length will slowly but surely climb down towards the collarbone, i.e. LOB. Being able to put your hair up and style it easily will come after the shorter bob (jawline)
dominance.

Hair colors
Many have started to let their natural hair color grow out and thus embraced the 2025 trend color “mocha mousse” which is soft, natural brown and on the warm side. The color trends for 2025 will generally lean towards warmer tones in general as they give the hair a natural fullness.  For example, pink hair and cool-toned highlights are on the rise.  Monochromatic, i.e. the same tone from root to tip on the entire hair, is coming strong. Block coloring and strands/parts in different shades are on the way out. Blonde, red, black or brown – regardless of the color of the hair, monochromatic lengths are the rule. Fewer strands and more tone-on-tone make the hair color extra easy to maintain. Luxurious beige with discreet strands that blend into the color is also a hair color that is both stylish, classic and easy to maintain so it stays put. Colors we will hear more about are:

  • Mocha mousse

  • Dark espresso

  • Bronde, meaning something between blonde and brunette

  • Honey Blonde, i.e. warm blonde shades towards beige

  • Cherry cola

Curls
A common theme for spring hair trends 2025 is that hair doesn't have to be so arranged. One of the season's big styling trends is, for example, the soft waves that can have a sloppy feel. You can easily get the waves by sleeping in a braid, or letting your hair dry itself together with a curl cream if you have natural natural hair. Let your hair be just the way it is! 2025 is about embracing your natural texture, whether you have soft waves or spiral curls. That's why we will see more of big curls, preferably a little brushed out and frizzy. Perfect curling iron curls and a glamorous wave of influencers are on the way.

Hair styling
In 2025 we are raising the volume! Whether it is textured hair or straighter lengths, the trend shows that it is time to create proper bounce to the lengths and volume – give texture to the hair and make sure to bring out a full feeling to the lengths. The only time the hair is slick is if you make a tight set at the nape. The natural styling is also visible here, you put away the hot air brush and take out the texturizing cream and salt water spray and let the hair hang freely. Imagine that you have just come out of the shower and let your hair dry itself. Beachy and natural. As I said, the side part is still strong this year, but the middle part will dominate due to the boho trend.

Summary

The hottest haircuts of 2025 are bobs and lobs, meaning everything between the jawline and down to the collarbone will be seen even more. The colors will go in the warm direction and monochromatic hair will be more popular than different blocks and clear loop effects. Colors we will talk a lot about are: Mocha mousse, Dark espresso, Bronde, Honey Blonde, Cherry cola. We want to be able to care for and vary your hair in a way that is easier with medium-length hair than with short or long hair. Then you can use heat tools with a clear conscience without the hair taking too much damage, but you can also put your hair up in simple hairstyles. Styling medium-length hair is simply less time-consuming than long hair. We will combine old and new, but above all, natural and personal hair will take center stage this year.
