Interview with Lena Bondeman

Lena works as a hairdresser at both Green Heads in Sofo and Birkastan. Her experience as a hairdresser, and especially as an organic hairdresser, is extensive. She is passionate about meeting the customer and loves to build a trusting customer relationship. Get to know Lena better in the interview below:

How long have you worked as a hairdresser at Green Heads?
- I started in September 2019, so just under a year.

How did interest in green hair care arise?
- I had worked for 15 years with a lot of coloring, bleaching and perming and my hands gave out so I was forced to take a break from the profession. When I wanted to get back to the profession that inspires me the most and that I am happy when I go to and just as happy when I go home from, I looked up organic hair care and the rest is history.

How long have you been in the industry and what has your time in the profession been like?
- I got my journeyman certificate in 1983, so my experience is long. I started my first salon in 1992 and have been self-employed until 2016 in various industries but mainly in hair/skin and health. Now it feels so fun to be part of the team at Green Heads.

Where do you find your inspiration?
- It's around me all the time! Customers, colleagues, in the city, nature, etc. Some inspiration attracts more than others, but I try to always be open and see the possibilities in everything.

How do you ensure you stay forward-thinking and curious?
- Working as a hairdresser is incredibly creative, fun and challenging. Every day I get to inspire customers to dare to see something new in themselves, e.g.
A new hairstyle, color or shape increases the drive to challenge myself to deliver more.

What is your biggest passion in the hairdressing profession?
- The meeting with the customer! To build trust that allows us to together challenge their hairstyle choices, product choices, environmental choices and my creativity.

What hair trend do you hope never comes back?
- The hockey girl! Oh my god, I cut off so much hair (by the ears) under Carola's great influence. The football girl, according to Fredrik Ljungberg, wasn't that fun either.
Otherwise, I like sports!
