Our popular salon treatment with algae is now also available for home purchase. Alg In Treatment is an algae treatment packed with amino acids that build up the protein in the hair and moisturize, giving a full feeling and fantastic shine to your hair. Alg In treatment is 100% naturally detoxifying. Our treatment consists primarily of carrageenan, a seaweed that is naturally both deep-cleansing and moisturizing. It detoxifies impurities by binding and pulling out heavy metals that get stuck in the hair and come from air, water and certain synthetic products.

Why should you detox your hair?
To get smooth and shiny hair, you often use hair products that contain silicones. Silicones can create a layer that settles around the hair shaft and in the scalp, which leads to the scalp becoming clogged. This in turn can, among other things, inhibit hair growth, cause acne and itching in the scalp. Pollution from air and water can also settle in the hair and make it brittle and become coatings that clog the scalp. This is something we are exposed to daily and can, for example, be metals from water pipes and particles from exhaust gases that are difficult to avoid. We must actively and regularly clean these out of the hair in order to have a balanced scalp and strong hair. Since coatings also discolor the hair, our detoxifying algae treatment can also have a slight brightening effect. Alg In Treatment is simply good hair food!

Even the actual preparation of the cure is a crafty mindfulness experience that gets you going while enjoying the scent of salty sea and lavender.

Here's how you do it

Mix the cure:
1. Mix 3.5 tablespoons of Alg In Treatment with 3-5 dl of water depending on the desired thickness.
2. Cook on very low heat for 15 minutes until a jelly begins to form.
3. Strain off the residue and let the smooth jelly cool in the refrigerator.
4. After 30 minutes, the treatment is ready to use.

Apply the treatment:
1. Wash your hair and gently towel dry.
2. Distribute the cool algae gel throughout your hair, right down to the scalp.
3. Wrap a hair towel around your hair.
4. Leave on for 20 minutes
5. Rinse thoroughly.
6. Finish with conditioner.

When should you do a detox?
The algae treatment is perfect to do the day before a color treatment to get a really even result, or on a spa Sunday before a moisture wrap, but it also gives fantastic results as it is. A must for all self care lovers.

How often should you detox your hair?
It depends, we would say. For example, if you use a lot of products that contain silicones, or live in a big city with a lot of air pollution, you may need to detox your hair more often. Our guideline is that every 4-6 weeks, then your hair will stay as balanced and strong as possible.

Mixed algae pack should be stored in the refrigerator and used within a few days as it does not contain any preservatives. Alg in treatment should be done no more than every 4-6 weeks.
